Dr. Dorothy Chae, LAc, PhDDr. Dorothy Chae, LAc, PhD, is the founder of Evergreen Acupuncture and a member of Holy Name Medical Centerâs Pain Management Division. Dr. Chae is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed in New York and New Jersey. Dr. Chae obtained a PhD in Oriental medicine from American Liberty University and a Masters of Professional Studies in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Mercy College.

Fluent in Korean and English, Dr. Chae interned at the Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle. Dr. Chae has served as an adjunct professor at the New York College of Health Professions in Syosset, NY, where she supervised their acupuncture clinic, and taught courses on acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Earlier in her career she was a supervising pharmacist in New York
City for a decade after graduating from St. Johnâs University. At the Patricia Lynch Cancer Center at Holy Name Hospital, Dr. Chae treats cancer patients relating to symptoms of pain, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, weight loss, anxiety, depression, insomnia, poor appetite, dry mouth, hot flashes, nerve problems, constipation and diarrhea and failure of gastrointestinal (GI) muscles.

Dr. Chae also specializes in womenâs health issues, such as infertility, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, PMS, irregular menstruation, polycystic ovaries, mental health (anxiety and depression), pregnancy, postpartum care, and menopause. In her spare time, Dr. Chae is a meditation instructor and enjoys cooking.
